		<description>cocos2D gets my vote for an EXTREMELY useful framework that doesn&#039;t get in the way.  It will save you loads of time.

For 3D, I can&#039;t recommend enough SIO2 (http://www.sio2interactive.com/HOME/HOME.html).  Amazing stuff there.</description>
